State-of-the-Art Small Arms Range Ventilation/Air-Purification
As part of our overall commitment to the safety and well-being of all personnel on our range, the Tactical Training Center of New Jersey uses the most state-of-the art small arms range ventilation system available. The protection of our shooters and employees from the hazards of vaporized lead and powder, along with the elimination of smoke to ensure shooters have a clear, unobstructed view of their target downrange, is of the utmost importance to us.
The ventilation system installed at our facility, and specifically designed for small arms shooting ranges, is fully compliant with the guidelines established by NIOSH (National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health) for preventing lead exposure at indoor firing ranges, and thoroughly tested by the U.S. Government; it consistently produces conditions that keep exposure in the respiratory zone below the allowable limits for lead exposure.
The system is maintained and monitored so you can breathe easy and fully concentrate on practicing and improving your firearm skills without having to give a second thought to the air you’re breathing.
The TTC is very cognizant of Hunterdon’s rural landscape. To preserve that natural beauty, we creatively engineered our air handling units to operate within the facility so as not to disturb the natural landscape of the surrounding areas.
